Its nice being on the bleeding edge. Now an interesting gentoo project would be a profile 2 distro script.

I thought about this several years back she gentoo first hit the scene but lost touch ares a few years on CRUX

Login -> Select apps types (suggests one with peer votes) -> on this core/Kernel version -> with this user space -> on this hardware profile -> go -> farm builds and assembles tuned distro overnight -> download a reusable iso -> boot hard ware and it net installs the image.
