I only require b&w printing so got a Kyocera FS-1100 laser printer with
network interface, it works fine with cups and a downloaded
kyocera.ppd. No problems printing from Debian or XP systems on our
home network.

It is listed in the openprinting.org/printer_list so knew I was safe in
getting one.
