I also have a Ligitech Marble Trackball at home. At work I use a
standard mouse. I like to think that by swapping between the two I
limit the amount of stress my joints see.
When I first started using CAD, I did develop a ganglion, but i
realized that was caused by me holding my index finger up off the
mouse, and then hammering the button. With a modification in how I use
the mouse, the ganglion has gone away, mostly.
