Who Was There

What Happened

  • AdrianBridgett hopefully remembered to bring his SoundBridge wifi music player along.

    • AdamTrickett got Firefly and Amarok working at home as a result – most useful talk

  • AlanPope demonstrated his (lack of) prowess at xjump

  • AlanPope demonstrated video phone via Skype, Wifi, and his TWO eee PCs!

  • HugoMills explained how Linux boots, in some detail, to Fay (who actually seemed interested in it… :) )

  • AdamTrickett had a go at trying to get CliveWoodfine‘s Medion tablet to work. It’s not working properly yet, but it looks like the udev rule needs tweaking to set up the correct nodes in /dev with the appropriate permissions.

  • DaveWalker kindly helped ImranChaudhry resolve his esoteric Samba problems with his Debian Slug.
