I’ve been using linux for a while now, but not in any great depth since leaving Uni 1994. Used RedHat since about 4.3 (circa 1995) Currently running various machines on either Fedora 8 on my server or Fedora 10 on my workstation and laptop.
Way back when…. I built a small cluster seti cruncher utilising a few very bare bones AMD XP2400+ or P4 1.9 and LTSP. These are naked, cardless, diskless machines booting over ethernet. Having completed in excess of 10,000 work units, I’ve redirected them to crunching for climateprediction.net
