Not exactly...
Amarok used to have the facility to recognise portable devices and do
on-the-fly conversion when you moved tracks to them. I'm not used that in
a few years, so I'm not sure of the current state - quite a lot of
functionality went away at the "upgrade" to 2.0 (1.4 was superb...)
