I'm a big fan of Puppy but I wouldn't recommend it to a first timer on
account of the menus being a bit 'busy' and there being a fair amount of
tinkering involved with getting the best out of it. That said, if your
machine is resource-strapped then Puppy will make the most of what
little you have.
I have no experience of the other two.
