My experiences (both direct(*) and vicarious(**)) of Apple hardware
is that it's actually not terribly reliable. Anecdotally, I seem to
see more Apple kit go wrong than PC kit (and certainly more if you
compare equipment of similar prices).

(**) A considerably larger, but unscientifically reported sample.
