No such options on the milestone :( I suppose this may be due to
pressure from mobile carriers...
I hope the hero gets an upgrade in good time. You've probably seen
reports that HTC in the process of updating the device:

The 2.1 ROM has appeared on xda-developers also, not sure how stable it
is though!
