What if you go to Settings -> Wireless Controls. At the bottom I have
"Mobile network sharing" with the description "To enable mobile
network sharing, please plugin USB cable" and a tickbox.
My hero is still on 1.5, dunno when HTC will get around to releasing 2.1.
