Hi all,

I would like to deploy a Rails application on a server and I'm looking
for some advice. I've read enough on the subject to know there are a
number of methods, but I don't know which one is the most appropriate
(i.e. easiest) for me.

I have no experience of Ruby or Rails, but I've followed the
instructions well enough to test the application under a user account
with the built-in WebBrick server.

I have a VPS I'd like to deploy it on running Debian Etch, which already
has Apache2 installed and serving other static pages. I'd like the
Rails application to run in a sub-directory of the main site, i.e.
http://www.my.site/rails_app/ rather than taking over the whole domain.

This will only be used by a couple of people, so loading is not an issue.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Chris
