Brian,
There should be no problem with the revised ordering of startup that
fixes the dependancy problem.
Remember, you are just playing around with links once chkconfig has
registered the service from the file in rc.d
I use the numbering method all the time to ensure proper startup
synchronisation. Rememner you can reverse them for shutdown as well with
the Kxx links.
This is a BUG so please report in. Its probably actually a RedHat bug
rather than Centos but I know that bugs reported to Centos get fed back
to RH such is the beauty of OSS.
