Right now I admin 100+ Linux machines, along with four or five
colleagues, of those I know the root password to maybe 10.
sudo in that situation makes a lot of sense. For the home user
I think the choice is mostly a matter of preference. There are
pros and cons of both mandating root, or using sudo extensively.
