This is the output I get (on XP Professional):

D:\Documents and Settings\j>ipconfig /all

Windows IP Configuration

        Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : dozy
        Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
        Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Unknown
        IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No
        WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

        Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
        Description . . . . . . . . . . . : SiS 900 PCI Fast ethernet adapter
        Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : <address here>
        Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.3
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
        DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 212.23.3.100
                                                    212.23.3.100

The settings are all correct. So where now - and as I said, if the problem
lies with teh network card, why does the connection from Linux work OK? :-(
