What happened

• A windows C programmer with some interesting project in mind (JohnEayrs) is wondering if he can do it in Linux instead. Several tools to look at suggested.

• Vic used some memory from MartinWimpress for a Sun Ultra 5 then DeanEarley helped him get it up and running.

• With the advice of NickChalk, DamianBrasher set up an openvpn tunnel on his test fc2 server at home, generated and exchanged certificates, unfortunately tun device was not compiled on client power pc kernel but main principles understood. Solves pptp security issues.

• HugoMills failed to get CliveWoodfine‘s wireless card working. AdrianBridgett did.

• Once again AdrianBridgett got IanBrazier‘s wireless card working, after existing ndiswrapper installation exhibited undocumented features.

• Debian bug 331397 filed by AdrianBridgett after some investigation into a failure message spotted by IanBrazier

• AdrianBridgett reinstalled windows driver for ndiswrapper to fix CliveWoodfine‘s wireless

• TonyWhitmore helped MarkJohnsonII to get CSS DVDs playing back during a quiet moment as GreetingPeople.

• TonyWhitmore spent a lot of time running around and talking to people but didn’t get to help many people with problems.

• HugoMills helped DamianSkibinski to get Ubuntu on his laptop.
