What happened

• It was a lovely sunny day.
• We got Seminar Room 2 back!

• HugoMills, RobSmith, RhysLewis, RichardMace and JasonButtwell took LisiReisz‘s machine in hand, gave it a good kicking, installed KUbuntu on it, and handed it back, whispering “now, don’t do it again” in the computer’s ear as they did so. We hope it will see the error of its ways, and stop crashing now.

• TomBragg helped JaredBelkus get his DVD burner drive working – but under an alternative operating system!

• TonyWhitmore was pleased that the Wifi Radar application did its job and made it easy to connect to the WLAN.

• Poor LauraCowen went all the way home to get her desktop having found that there wasn’t much she could do with her laptop, only to have the PSU blow up when she plugged it in.

• TonyWhitmore tried to help GrahamSeale get Gentoo booting, but was suffering from the fairly major handicap of never having used Gentoo before. We needed MatGrove really….

• JohnLewis & NickChalk tried to get X working on a memory deficient laptop
