Yes it was a change in behaviour.
I've unplugged and plugged the battery a dozen times and after three
quarters of an hour on battery operation it still showed 4:57 left.
After an hour it's now down to 0:27.
No success with using
/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info
so far; just getting error messages. I'll try later. Indicator now
shows. 0:16
