First post for a while so sorry it's so OT...
I've had a Freeview PVR for a few years now - it mainly records stuff off
the radio - and it does a good job. The problem is that it doesn't have an
ethernet connection and with iplayer now very convenient, I'm very much
thinking of dropping Virginmedia.
So I want a PVR which can:
* Provide iplayer via ethernet
* Record from a radio station via epg and series link.
So basically this is the best of both worlds - if I know a programme
(especially radio) is coming on - I can set the PVR to get it. Or if I've
missed something good (I'm a big Radio 4 fan but not in during the day) - I
can get it via iplayer.
Trouble is the only widely available machine I can find is £350 [1] though
I've not trawled that widely. Anybody know of a suitable alternative.
I'd prefer Freeview to Freesat (cabling issues) but will consider both.
