My granddaughter has OpenSuSE 11.1, installed by me. This is exactly what she
uses it for. The only thing I remember having to fiddle with was her school's
****** idiosyncratic wireless connection. Even wireless Just Worked
everywhere but school. All the online stuff she uses (You Tube Facebook
etc), and DVDs she plays seem not to cause any problems at all. This
includes playing Japanese television programs sent to her via email.

It was her father that set up the music on it. But so far as I know he just
installed Songbird and a large database of music. She uses it to sync with
her iPod and upload/download music.
