As has been mentioned, the UUID belonds to the filesystem, not the drive.
The OP has two options, I guess:
1) Set the UUID of the filesystem on each external drive to be the same
(eg, using "tune2fs -U" for ext3/4)
2) Create the necessary fstab entries to mount each drive by UUID in
the same location
