Yes - significantly. About 3 - 4 times the size. (You are being too

Yes, but horses for courses. I have difficulty carrying everything anyway
when I go away.

You are younger and stronger than I am. I am getting weaker by the day but
need to access some of my email while I am away.

So the fact that a netbook does not answer any perceived need of yours does
not detract from the fact that it does answer a perceived need for a lot of
us.

I agree, however, that many people feel that it does not meet a perceived
need. My granddaughter, for instance, doesn't like them. Though she used
to complain a lot that her Dell is very heavy!

But then isn't choice part of what FLOSS is about??? :-)

Indeed - but it is still not an objective measure. Like beauty it is in the
eye (or purse) of the beholder.
