Turn the whole system Japanese - that was why I was reluctant to obey the
instruction. (Which came with some software.) I was just confirming that I
was right. It has, after all, been known for me to be wrong.

I couldn't suck it and see because if it did turn the whole system Japanese, I
would have had to reinstall, since I can't read or understand Japanese and
would therefore be unable to turn it back.
