Hi all,
I am looking at upgrading my media centre from it's via SP13000 to a shiny
new intel atom 330 dual-core motherboard [1]. This would allow my media
centre to have enough power to run the iPlayer inside a web browser and to
stand more of a chance playing back hi-def content [2].
I have to get the dual core version and the single core doesn't have
s-video output that I need to connect it to the telly. (Yes I know that
this means hi-def is pointless atm but eventually I will get an LCD TV!)
However I am worried about things working correctly in Linux. The via
board has various issues and took ages to get working correctly, and even
now I cannot get suspend / resume to work reliably enough for a system
that needs to wake up to record things :D
Has anyone used one of these boards with linux? Can anyone confirm that
the s-video output really works, and that suspend to ram / resume works
too?
Cheers,
Steve.
