I understand your concerns, but rogue traders on sites like Amazon,
eBay etc. soon get found out. If the trader you're looking to buy the
power adaptor from has a high positive feedback rating (>98% say), and a
high number of sales to their credit (>200 perhaps), you should be safe.
I buy from such traders without problem.
