True, I guess they weren't going to sit back and let non Windows users watch
programs we've paid for the same as Windows users can, not after the fuss
they've made over DRM and the 'help' they received from Microsoft.

Personally I don't see DRM as a good enough reason to deny us the same access,
if I wanted to keep a television series that badly then I'd have a digibox
and record it directly to my DVD recorder in much higher quality with no DRM
whatsoever. I must say it was nice for a couple of days to be able to watch
programs full screen that I would normally only get to see in a 5"x3" box, so
that was a bonus I didn't expect.

The BBC are as usual a law unto themselves, just because we pay for the
content doesn't seem to mean anything to them & neither does the ruling of
the BBC Trust when they were told they had to provide it for all platforms,
their usual answer is that they will, at some point in the future, look into
the possibility of it's use on platforms other than Windows & it seems that's
a good enough answer for them to get away with it, somehow I doubt that the
future will be forthcoming.
