[Hampshire] ntfs file recovery

Does anyone know any tools that can recover files on an ntfs
filesystem after it has been reformatted?

E.g. It would have to search the partition sector by sector and
recover files that were on the disc, but not in the new formatted
filesystem.

I wrote a program to do this for OS/2, but I was wondering if there
existed a Linux program for ntfs already, so I would not need to write
one.
