Can anyone recommend a decent SIP based IP phone application for Linux?
As a quite setup to test things out and be able to use my new phone
number I'd like to quickly setup a PC based client, but in the longer
term I'll be getting an Asterisk system I expect, although I have seen
another similar package that I may look into.
So far I've only really found kphone as a possibility. I did quickly
try a couple of Windows based applications (Gizmo I think was one), but
they tend to want you to sign up for their own service, and that doesn't
help me unfortunately. I didn't even get as far as trying to work out
how to match the configuration parameters onto the 3 that I have
(username, password and proxy) - which don't seem to match those on the
clients!!
..hmm, must delve into my mutt configuration and get it better setup to
send with different signatures and accounts - particularly picking the
right one for a reply!
