That's not true :-)
My main workstation has most of its filesystem on hda17 and hda18...
I wouldn't advice this, though - things like fdisk generally only expect a
maximum of 16 partitions, so you can have difficulty seeing partitions
beyond 16 with commands like "fdisk -l". Doesn't seem to stop anything
actually working, though.
