A quick reminder that the next meet is this Saturday (19th July) with
the usual start time of 1pmat Broad Oak Sports and Social Club.
I will leave my heads up that I have an event starting at 4pm on the
date of the September meet. No problem if somebody can pack up the box
and I can collect on my way back, but if not let me know if people
prefer not to come to a shorter meet (I would likely pack up at around
3.30pm).
What I will also do is note that the above refers to the September meet
and not the next one :-)
I had planned a talk on scripting my updates with Bash - that's
scripting not automating as there are prompts along the way, it just
saves typing. It covers updates with apt for my Ubuntu packages, snap
for other Ubuntu packages and now Docker. Having done the hard sell I
will have to note that not only have I not managed to start the talk and
have meetings tomorrow from around 10am through to 9pm, my laptop has
gone pop - well, not specifically pop, it just froze mid meeting the
other night and has done nothing more than light up the keyboard ever
since. If I can get it working and if I can manage to find the time to
write something between now and Saturday ... I fear that in mathematical
terms two ifs likely make an if not (or something along those lines).
Be there or be somewhere completely different.
