The next Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Linux Users Group meeting
will be this coming Saturday, 15th September 2018 from 1pm to 6pm in the
Broad Oak Social Club, Hilsea. Talks start at 3pm.

This month is a bring-a-box meet, although I hope to find a few minutes
between now and Saturday to do a short talk on how to use the Telegram
group that I am trialing, and discuss what people think about it and
other possible ways to encourage more people to come along to meets. I
also plan to bring along a USB cassette deck that I have been using
recently to transfer some old audio cassettes to MP3/OGG, so if anyone
is interested in how easy it is to do this on Linux with Audacity I can
demonstrate. It isn't the last word in audio quality, but is more than
good enough for spoken word (I've not tried music yet as I generally
used vinyl).
So bring along your problems and we will commiserate with you, erm, I
mean see if we can help you solve them!
