Booted it with Debian Live off a USB1 key (can't boot from USB2), 
was very slow...
In the end reinstalled and it is now booting with Debian 8 and 
working. Can find the disks with new kernel and systemd, which is 
good. X11 isn't starting out of the box from autoconfig, but that 
is my next challenge.
