Yes, OpenShot is the least worst choice of video editor at the moment
IMHO, though I have an Ubuntu 11.10 VM to run an old version in which
doesn't have the audio sync issue you describe. I've been waiting for
that to be fixed for over a year.

But I can't/won't manually drag 500 images onto a timeline and configure
the crossfades etc. It really needs to be a "fire and forget" thing.
