It sounds like Virtualbox is continuing to boot from the CD (or ISO
image). The installation has probably completed just fine.

Change the boot order when the VM is in it's virtual BIOS by hitting the
F12 key. Alternatively, disconnect the virtual CD ROM drive and boot the
VM again.
