Kindle e-reader and Calibre are an excellent combination. Although I do not
own an e-reader device, such as a Kindle, I use my desktop and notebook,
which both run Linux, and Android tablet.
On the Linux machines I run Kindle for Windows in a "Bottle of Crossover
Wine".
I also run Calibre for Linux. By configuring Kindle to share the data
folder used by Calibre, I have the full benefit of both applications.
You can obtain Calibre for Linux at
http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux
I recommend the binary install.
I will bring my notebook to a future meeting if anyone wants a demo.
