I have a HP 2600n colour laserjet printer which is on my network, I can
connect to it and print a test page without a problem from the print
control panel in gnome. I can print from gedit and Thunderbird (there
might be more not tired all yet) but I can't print from Libre
Office or Adobe Acrobat.
When I try nothing happens. If I open HPLIP I can print any document
through that interface without a problem.
This printer worked perfectly with my previous distro Mepis 8 so I know
    it will work with Linux
    Any thoughts??

I'm running Debian Squeeze with a mono HP Laserjet 2420dn on the
network - can print from any package.
I'm no "techie" but ... I use CUPS web interface to manage the printer
(
http://localhost:631/) - will this help? The driver I used was listed
as "HP Laserjet 2420 Postscript". Other bits are Appsocket Jetdirect,
with connection socket://192.168.1.65:9100 - if this is any clue.
(my printer has a fixed IP address on the network).
I've not had to set the printer up separately up with OpenOffice -
don't know about Libre Office (not tried it yet).
