Subject: [Hampshire] [ADMIN] Wiki, book reviews and AGM
Hi,

I hope everyone has had a good summer! I have a few important things to say.

1) The wiki is getting hammered with SPAM again. I do my best to keep on top
of it but it's getting tedious. The wiki is also suffering from lack of
attention, only a small number of people contribute and the content is a
little out of date and disorganised.

I'm not deeply familiar with MoinMoin but non the less I've decided to have a
go at radical surgery, the site needs a good reorganise and lots of older
reference pages (e.g. old meeting pages) are going to get locked down so the
spammers can't get at them. Anyone with any interest in helping please let me
know so we don't work against each other.

2) We've had a few books donated by Apress and O'Reilly. I've given them away
for review and a small number have come back with reviews. To be fair with the
publishers I'm only going to ask for books for people who have actually
submitted a review already.

There are plenty of books in circulation at the moment, if you have a book and
don't/can't review it please give it to someone else. If you want to review
something and have not previously reviewed anything please ask there are
plenty of books about to review, including books already reviewed.

I'll update the wiki with the books that we have but do not yet have reviews
for - see point (1).

3) We are due an AGM, Ashwin has booked the University for us for 2 October so
I propose that we hold our AGM on that date. Anyone wishing to stand for
election to the committee should make their wishes known on this mailing list
now.
