Hi,
I don't know if this is related but I've seen some mouse-related strangeness on Ubuntu 10.04 running Gnome.
I'm on a Dell Precision laptop with a built in trackpad and an external USB mouse. Occasionally, clicking with the USB mouse does nothing even though moving it moves the pointer. It's as if the mouse has a faulty button. If I then left click with the button on the trackpad the buttons on USB mouse come back to life.
Cheers,
Paul.

Subject: [Hampshire] Losing button events...
Hi All.
I've installed Fedora 13 on an old Dell Latitude laptop. I'm having some
trouble with it.
Frequently, when I click the left mouse(pad) button, the button I'm
pressing doesn't work - it changes colour to indicate the press, but
doesn't do anything until I move the mouse pointer. Looking at it with
xev, the ButtonPress events are all seen, but the ButtonRelease event is
frequently missing.
Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks!
Vic.
