I presume also "X11Forwarding yes" in /etc/ssh/sshd_config ? The above
is the client option.

Often restarting the ssh server in verbose mode and checking the
server logs can give extra information that can't be sent to the
client for security reasons.
I can't remember how recent the 'trusted' X11 stuff is - see the
difference between '-X' and '-Y'. But I don't think that should make a
difference in this case.
