Recommended practice also for Amazon's AWS cloud platforms. Run your
engine on a right-sized Instance and keep your data on Elastic Block
Store volumes that you can attach/detach on demand. They have some
clever allocation processes going on behind the scenes to optimise the
logical and physical location of the selected data volumes w.r.t the
processor instances.
