That's not really a problem - the RH patches are to backport new kernel
development into older kernels. This gives you the stability necessary for
an Enterprise distribution, but keeps you up-to-date in terms of
technology.

I fequently use vanilla kernels on RH-derived installations. It's fine.

That's easily sorted if needed.
