Jumping sideways slightly, are the signal levels reported by femon
consistent from DVB-T tuner to tuner? And what sort of levels are
needed?
I've recently picked up an Asus u3100 to go with the Eee; it works - and
Asus have supplied me with source that they say is correct for the
binary release supplied with the stick - but it struggles to get
anything significantly more than the BBC mux off Rowridge. The DVR util
included for Linux is very rudimentary, and significantly outgunned by
the Windows apps.
I was amused by the verbosity of the DVB drivers when I tried the stick
out on a stock Ubuntu 8.10 on an old box; it identified the device
correctly, then aborted because it was plugged into a USB1 port.
Instead of merely saying it had failed, it went on to add that it was
because the device has no hardware PID filtering (so needs the USB2
bandwidth).
