Things like this are IMHO potentially vary bad for us. I used to work for a company that provided a service to the public. We recognised that it was fairly easy to sell our service to a new customer but once they'd turned us out and got our competitors in it was almost impossible to get back in to a household.
If this is done wrong I think it risks turning "we've never done this and we're a bit worried about trying it" into "we did it, it was bad, never again" from retailers' points of view.
