I got refused when I tried to buy some beer yesterday evening in NW London. I didn't have any photo ID on me. Those who don't know, I'm 55, grey haired and obviously over 18.
The supermarket (shall remain nameless as I'm contemplating legal action) said it was the law that you HAD to carry Photo ID with you at all times.
Now I know it is not but they refused to budge.
Sigh, what is this county coming to. With Wacky Jackie and the 'uber database' to supermarkets stopping a confirmed member of the Grumpy Old Mens club from buying 4 bottles of beer....

The Asian corner store down the road had no problem selling me my so called illegal goods.
