Apologies for the late (by a couple of hours) delivery of this
mail. I hope nobody will object.
I've been asked again to act as returning officer for the elections
to the committee of the LUG. The process goes as follows:
- For the next two weeks (until mid-day on 28 September), nominations
are open for the posts on the committee. The posts are:
- Chairman (incumbent Adrian Bridgett)
- Treasurer (incumbent John Lewis)
- Hostmaster (incumbent Tony Whitmore)
- General Officer x 2 (incumbents Alan Pope & Ian Brazier)
- Any name put forward for nomination by a member must be seconded by
another member, and accepted by the candidate.
- Nominations and seconds should be made to this mailing list. Doing
so as a reply to this mail thread would be appreciated (but not
essential).
- I will post the list of valid nominations to the list and the wiki
on the 28th September.
