[Hampshire] emacs in a root terminal.

Hi Folk.

I used to be able to run emacs as root in a terminal window. Now all I
get is:

emacs: Cannot connect to X server :0.0.
Check the DISPLAY environment variable or use `-d'.
Also use the `xhost' program to verify that it is set to permit
connections from your machine.

Is there an easy fix for this please?
