Morning all -
At the weekend I was videoing a dressage test with a Sony DVD camcorder; all appeared well, until I asked it to finalise (or z) the disc - it seemed happy until the last moment when it failed, offering format as the only option.
I've put the DVD into a Windows box that recognised it as a full DVD-RW (but nothing visible on it); are there any tools under Linux that will allow me to extract the data and recreate the files elsewhere? I was wondering about dd as a candidate, not had a chance to try it yet.
TIA,
Peter
