It's the same chipset, not different at all.
There's very little difference between the 701 and the 900. The 900 has
multi-touch, a larger (higher res) screen, a cpu clocked at 900MHz
rather than ~600MHz, a slightly larger case and that's about it.
I've not had issues connecting to open or WPA protected wireless
networks. Never tried WEP.
