Has anyone else noticed a problem with CUPS after a recent Lenny update &&
safe-upgrade? CUPS was working fine on Friday, but is not working now.
(Gives the appearance of not being there: I cannot even use the web
interface to log in. And I can't print anything.)
I had a look at uninstalling and reinstalling, but that seemed set to be such
a can of worms that I aborted.*
Advice please.
Do I just sit tight and hope that an update over the next few days will fix
it? Or do I set about trying to mend it? And if so, how?
I asked a similar question a bit ago about Sarge and have looked for the
emails, but without success. And I am clearly not asking Google the right
question.
Oh, well. Serves me right for being so complacent about how well Lenny was
going...
Is there any possibility at all that this is because of my dying CMOS battery?
I have still not replaced it because Peter is away and I am still not well
enough to drive safely to get it from my friendly local computer shop, who
has a suitable one in stock.
TIA
Lisi
