But cable has much higher bandwidth and you will always get some form of
contention. You don't have much choice over what the contention rate is
on ADSL which is usually fixed at the exchange or you pay more for a
business line. I can't see why ADSL would be more reliable than cable as
it is a much better medium for broadband.
