Hi,
As some of you may know, I recently emigrated to Australia (near
Gosford in NSW). Today it was about 33 degrees C outside, and probably
even hotter in my stuffy little home office.
I can handle the heat fine if I drink and sweat enough (sort of).
However, I don't know how much heat my laptop can handle. It's still
spring here, and I just checked my CPU temp, it was 64 Deg C.
Anyway, my questions are:
1. On my IBM R50e thinkpad, at what CPU and hard disk temperatures
should I start to consider turning my laptop off or moving it
somewhere cooler?
2. Any suggestions of how I can keep my laptop cooler regardless of
the surrounding temperature?
3. Would buying a big fan for the room make much difference or just
blow papers all over the place?
4. A bit [OT], but can I stay in HantsLUG even though I'm all the way over here?
